Iran: Armita Garavand’s mother arrested by security forces
Shahin Ahmadi, mother of Armita Garavand who was hospitalized by Iran’s morality police on October 1, was arrested by the security forces on Wednesday.
News Center- 16-year-old Armita Garawand was physically attacked by Iran’s so-called morality police at Tehran Metro on October 1 for not complying with the compulsory “hijab”. Since then, she has been in a coma at the Fajr Hospital in Tehran.
According to the local reports, her mother Shahin Ahmadi was arrested by Iranian security forces on Wednesday.
Yesterday, the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights reported that conservation forces of the Education Department, along with a team of security agents, went to “Arwa al-Wathqi” Art Academy, where Armita Garavand is a student and threatened students and Armita's friends and demanded that they abstain from publishing any information regarding Armita.
