A women’s novel
Writer Hasna Chihabi pointed out that her novel is a novel that questions the history of injustice and persecution that women have been subjected to over the past years, “
It is a novel telling the stories of women, who are subjected to rape, harassment, and incest at their homes but cannot rise up to the injustice affecting them and remain silent despite the harassment they are subjected to. The Orange Blossom is a narration of women, who rise up against customs, traditions and patriarchal mentality for freedom.
Yasmina Shibi’s book “Sacred women. In the footsteps of saints of Morocco”, published in the French language, was presented at a press interview as part of the International Women’s Film Festival of Salé yesterday, September 30. The writer said that her book will be translated into Arabic soon. She thinks that Sufism opens new horizons for her to understand the issues of society, especially the issue of women and youth, and to contribute to evacuating this misery that has become invading the world. She also thinks that love is the basis of human existence, because it is a powerful weapon capable of standing in the face of all forms of discrimination, disharmony, hatred and wars waged by people against their siblings in all parts of the earth.
