Former Iranian female police officer found dead after receiving death threats
Mansoureh Sagvand, a former female police officer who resigned to support the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” protests a month ago, was found dead after receiving death threats.
News Center- Mansoureh Sagvand, a law student at Abdanan Azad University, died suspiciously six hours after her last post on her Instagram account. The dead body of Mansoureh Sagvand, who was a female police officer in Iran and resigned from her duty a month ago to support the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” protests, was found in a hospital in Abdanan, a city in the south of Ilam Province, six hours later her Instagram post reading, “You are scaring us with death as if we are alive... Forever sacrifice for the future of Iran.”
Mansoureh Sagvand wrote her resignation on Instagram. “I have been working as an honorary member of Khorramabad police force, but I will not have any cooperation with the armed forces and proudly stand with my people,” said her social media post.
Iranian regime forces have killed, tortured, kidnapped, arrested and threatened hundreds of people since the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi protests started in Iran and Rojhilat following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini in September 2022.
