Civilian activist Mehnosh Abdullahi was sentenced to six years in prison by the Shiraz Revolutionary Court on charges of "supporting the Zionist regime" and "making propaganda."

News Center - Human rights sources reported that the Shiraz Revolutionary Court handed down harsh prison sentences to civil activist Mehnosh Abdullahi.
Mehnosh Abdullahi was detained on July 1, 2024, and released from Adelabad Prison on July 12, 2024, on bail of 2.5 billion tomans.
According to the decision of the Chief Judge of the First Branch of the Shiraz Revolutionary Court, Mehnosh Abdullahi was sentenced to five years in prison for "engaging in cultural and media activities in support of the Zionist regime during the 12-Day War" and one year in prison for "making propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran on social media." Meanwhile, it was reported that a separate case has been filed against Mehnoş Abdullahi for "insulting religion," and that a verdict has not yet been issued.

Mehnoş Abdullahi's inner circle described the sentences as "unfair" and urged the public and civil society organizations to exercise caution to prevent continued pressure on security and the judiciary.
