News Center- Atekeh Rajabi, a teachers’ union activist, has been summoned by the 21st branch of the Criminal Court in Iran’s Mashhad city to serve her two-month prison sentence.

Atekeh Rajabi was fired from her job in 2022 after she refused to go to class in September and published videos criticizing the government's “unjust treatment” against students and teachers for demanding their rights be respected. She was arrested on May 9 after leaving her home to take part in a protest in Mashhad.

She was sentenced to six months in prison on the charge of “propaganda activities against state” by the 7th branch of Mashhad Revolutionary Court. Her four-month prison sentence has been suspended for five years.
