At least 29,878 Palestinians have been killed and 70,215 injured in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, the Gaza’s health ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

In the last 24 hours, 96 Palestinians were killed and 172 were injured, the ministry added. Since October 7, 2023, Israel has used 70,000 tons of bombs in its attacks on Gaza and the Israeli army has arrested more than 2,600 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Media Office.
According to reports, Israeli soldiers have used hundreds of civilians as human shields in Gaza’s Zeitoun, Sheikh Radwan and Nasser neighborhoods and Al-Maghazi refugee camp since October 7. Two million Palestinians have been internally displaced by war, according to the United Nations. Most of them have taken shelter in the city of Rafah, which was supposed to be a safe zone. Since February 1, the Israeli army has launched operations in Rafah.
