Algerian women march in solidarity with Palestinians

A march took place in Algeria in solidarity with Palestinians. Women participating in the march demanded the Israel attacks on Palestine be stopped.

News Center- People have been taking to the streets in many countries to condemn the attack on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.

Yesterday, a march took place in Algeria in solidarity with Palestinians. Condemning the massacres carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip, tens of thousands of people marched from May First Square to the Martyrs' Square. Many women also participated in the march. They chanted slogans such as “Anti-colonialism is a feminist issue”, “Silence is complicity” and “Algerian feminists stand with Palestine until it is freed inch by inch” and expressed their solidarity with Palestinian women.

Feminist activist Sophie Rakab, one of the women participating in the march, said, “Today, we took to the streets to support the Palestinian cause. Long live a free and independent Palestine.”

Journalist and feminist activist Kenza Khattu also participated in the march. “The massacres committed by Israel against the Palestinian people must be stopped. The attacks of Israel on Palestinians are rights violations. The siege imposed on Gaza must be lifted to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. The Israel attacks on Palestine must be stopped.”

Members of many women’s organizations, women activists and women of all ages participated in the march held in Algeria yesterday.
