Şenyaşar family demands justice for 710 days
On the 770th day of their sit-in protest, the Şenyaşar family demands justice again in front of the Urfa Courthouse. ر
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 710th day.
Making a speech in front of the courthouse, Ferit Şenyaşar said, “Prosecutors say 'be patient and wait'. We don't have the strength to be patient anymore. The records of security cameras of the hospital should be revealed now. The state officials say the records are in the state archive.” Noting that they are determined to struggle for justice, Ferit Şenyaşar said, “Sooner or later, justice will be ensured. Now, the person who committed this massacre, disguised as a MP, is walking around. But he will go to prison like his brother when he loses his parliamentary mandates.”
‘Their reign of oppression will be broken down’
“Yesterday, Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ visited the Urfa Courthouse. He entered the courthouse by using the back door in order not to see this mother, this sit-in protest that has been going on in front of the courthouse for 710 days. Their reign of oppression will be broken down! You will not be able to go out in public!” said the social media post of the Şenyaşar family.
