Şebnem Korur Fincancı detained
Şebnem Korur Fincancı, president of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) and Human Rights Foundation of Turkey, has been detained on terrorism charges.
News Center- In the morning, police raided the home of Şebnem Korur Fincancı, president of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) and Human Rights Foundation of Turkey, in Istanbul. Şebnem Korur Fincancı has been detained.
In her comments, Şebnem Korur Fincancı called for an investigation into the report. Last week, an investigation was launched against Şebnem Korur Fincancı on accusations of disseminating propaganda for a terrorist organization due to her comments on the reports that the Turkish Armed Forces had used chemical weapons in their operation launched on April 17 in the Kurdistan Region with the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). On Monday, Turkey’s President Erdoğan targeted her by saying, “The judiciary has taken action regarding the head of the (Turkish) Medical Association.”
