İSİG: 158 workers died at workplaces in January

At least 158 workers, including seven children and five women, died at workplaces in January, the report said.
According to the report, most of the workers, who lost their lives at their workplaces in January, were working in the construction sector.
“In January, 45 workers lost their lives in the construction sector, 22 in the transportation sector, 16 in the agricultural sector, 11 in the trade, office, education and cinema industry, 9 in the metals sector, 9 in the hospitality and entertainment sector, 9 in the public works sector, 9 in the chemical and petrochemical industry, 5 in the mining industry, 5 in the wood and paper industry, 5 in the ship, marine and port industries, 4 in the health sector, 2 in the food and sugar industries, 2 in textile and leather industries, 2 in the energy sector and one in the defense and security sector. The sectors of the five workers could not be determined,” the report said.
