730 Israeli academics signed a petition demanding the Israeli government to take “urgent measures” to prevent starvation in the Gaza Strip.
News Center- The Haaretz newspaper reported on Sunday that Israeli academics supported a petition on Sunday demanding the Israeli government to take “urgent measures” to prevent starvation in the Gaza Strip before its deepening humanitarian crises “causes mass deaths and turns into an indelible stain.”
The academics stressed the need to release prisoners detained in Gaza. According to the newspaper, Prof. Ariel Porat, President of Tel Aviv University, and Prof. David Harel, President of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, are among the academics who signed the petition.
