NewsCenter – Humanitarian conditions in Gaza have worsened with the continuation of the war, as hospitals face an acute shortage of medical supplies and fuel, and the numbers of dead and wounded escalate, amid widespread destruction and appeals to open [the crossings] to bring in humanitarian aid.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Tuesday, 22 September, the cumulative rise in the statistics of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since the seventh of October 2023, as the total toll reached 73,919 dead and 174,977 injured.

The Ministry explained in its statement that hospitals and medical centers in all cities received during the past hours five dead and 25 injured, including one person who died from a previous injury despite medical life-saving attempts.

The Ministry confirmed that the statistics of victims recorded since the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement on the eleventh of October 2025 amounted to about 1,399 dead, in addition to 4,863 injured with varying degrees of severity.

Medical crews and civil defense teams also indicated that the number of cases of retrieving the bodies of victims from under the rubble and targeted areas reached 834 retrieval cases so far, as part of the field teams' efforts to reach all the missing in various areas.
