18 women, 8 children killed in occupied areas of NE Syria in first 4 months of 2023
In the first four months of 2023, 18 women and eight children were killed, 15 women and four children were kidnapped in the areas of North and East Syria occupied by the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions.
News Center- The Syrian Center for Research on Women’s Rights has documented rights violations in the areas of North and East Syria occupied by the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions by compiling the reports from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and the Afrin Human Rights Organization.
According to the report released by the center, the rights violations against women and children in the occupied areas from the beginning of 2013 to May 9 are as follows:
“*From January to May 9, 18 women were killed, 15 women were kidnapped and five women were injured.
*Eight children were killed in the attacks, 14 children were kidnapped and 17 children were injured.
*47 people were killed in the attacks of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions, 152 people were kidnapped and 37 people were injured.”
