11 people detained in Hakkari released
11 people, who were taken into custody in Colemêrg (Hakkari) on August 15, have been released under judicial control.
Colemêrg (Hakkari)- On August 15, Turkish police raided many houses in Colemêrg (Hakkari) and its districts Gever (Yüksekova) and Çelê (Çukurca) in the morning. 24 people, 20 of them women, including members of the Peace Mothers’ Initiative, were taken into custody on charges of “membership in a terrorist organization”.
Yesterday, 13 of them were released from custody after being questioned at the police station while the other 11 people were referred to the courthouse. 11 people have been released under judicial control by the Turkish court.
