Young women break chains with football

Kobanî - The First Young Women’s Football League initiated on June 29 with the contributions of the Youth and Sports Committee in the Euphrates Region has continued in Kobanî for seven weeks. Today, Nesrin and Wehd football teams will have a match.

“This league allows women to play football together without any obstacles for the first time. Surely, there will be obstacles because we have a social reality having certain traditions but we want to break the chains with football,” said Evin Ehmed, the team leader of the KPC football team.

Yeldiz Emo Ehmed is one of the young players of the KPC football team. She has been playing football for many years and is very happy to play football. She calls on all young women to play football, “They should use football to break the chains,” she said.
