First in Morocco: Nawal Khalifa becomes first female deputy president of football club
Nawal Khalifa becomes the first female deputy president of a football club in Morocco.
Morocco- Morocco’s Fath Union Sport de Rabat (FUS) announced on August 11 the appointment of Nawal Khalifa as the deputy president of the association’s football section. Nawal Khalifa is replacing Hamza El Hajoui, the former deputy president of the FUS football section.
The appointment of Nawal Khalifa is a significant step since there is no woman who has ever held a managerial position in Morocco's top league.
Nawal Khalifa first joined FUS as an assistant treasurer in 2008; she also served as a member of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) between 2009 and 2014.
