In 2016, an investigation was launched against three women and then an indictment was prepared against them on charges of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” even though the public stand was set up with the permission of the Diyarbakır Governor's Office. In the indictment, Yüksel Bodakçı and Saniye Bozkurt were accused of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” for shouting slogans while Peace Mother Hava Kıran was accused of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” for her speech.
“All women of Amed and Peace Mothers welcome to the public stand. We hope we will get our leader out of there. Our leader was innocent, made no mistake. They put our leader in prison and left him in the middle of the sea. Our leader worked only for the Kurdish people. We will stand by our leader until we have a single drop of blood in our veins,” Peace Mother Hava Kıran said in her speech.
They have been acquitted
