Bitlis – Mt Süphan is the third highest mountain in Turkey. Its peak is snowy for four seasons. Lake Van lies in the provinces of Van and Bitlis. Both attract the attention of local and foreign tourists.

In the Ahlat district of Bitlis, the places that come to mind when the Serhat region is mentioned are Lake Van and Mt Süphan. Local and foreign tourists flock to Mt Sühan to climb it in spring and summer. It is the second-highest volcano in Turkey, with an elevation of 4,058 meters. The view of Lake Van and Mt Süphan is like a visual feast for visitors.

Trashes on the beach of the lake harm the environment

Lake Van is known as the “Sea of Van” by local people.  It also lies in Bitlis province. Many tourists visit the lake every year but the trashes on its beach harm the environment and discomfort the visitors.
