Amed – RadyoJin was founded by a group of women believing that women’s struggles should be visible all around the world with the motto, “We are broadcasting without thinking what men will decree”. In 2021, RadioJin received a grant from Kültür İçin Alan (Spaces of Culture) for its project called “RadioJin’s Podcast Training and Production for Women Project.” The project aims to hold workshops for women to express their thoughts about gender inequality through podcasts. The first workshop was held in June by the RadioJin and the second one will be held in September. Women should register for the workshop in order to attend the online and face-to-face podcast training courses.

“Women’s programs will be broadcast on the RadioJin website”

Rosa Women’s Association member Ruken Ergüneş calls on all women to attend the workshop to be held in September. “RadioJin allows women to share what they know in their field,” Ruken Ergüneş said that women who have knowledge of fields such as culture, art, the sexist language used in the media and sports, will be able to share their programs on the RadioJin website. “The aim of the project is to reach women in the region.”

“Women will produce programs about what they are interested in”

“RadioJin is a means that allows us to express what we think. We have carried out this project with the support of the Kültür İçin Alan. Our first workshop was about gender in media. 18 women attended the first workshop. Soon, everyone will see the programs produced by them. There are many women who want to express their thoughts and we want to support them to express their thoughts,” Ruken Ergüneş told us.

“Registration process for the second workshop has started”

Ruken Ergüneş told us the registration process for the second workshop to be held in September has started. “The workshop will create a space for women to come together and to talk about an issue. Many women will join them by listening to their conversation. We will broadcast without thinking what men will decree. We are very excited. RadioJin will work on many issues. The registration process for the second workshop is still ongoing. All women, who want to produce, are welcomed.”
