Benghazi- The number of women drivers is on the rise in Benghazi. This rise reveals new issues for women. Most women feel vulnerable when it comes to auto repairs. A car repair course has been launched for women drivers in Benghazi to learn how to fix their cars when they break down.
“When women hear a strange noise from their cars, they go to automobile repair shops. But mechanics laugh at them for not understanding the reason,” said Huda Behaîrî, a trainer of the car repair course.
The number of women drivers increases
Stating that women are often deceived in automobile repair shops, Huda Behaîrî said that learning simple techniques saves women from waiting for help from a brother or spouse. “Women drivers will learn more about how to maintain a car at the course. We decided to organize such a course because the number of women drivers is increasing.”
“Don’t just learn how to drive”
Calling on women drivers to be careful while driving, Huda Behaîrî said, “Don’t just learn how to drive. Learn how to maintain your cars in order to not need any help from others.”
