Yekta Herekol Theater Festival continues in Qamishlo

On the 4th day of the Yekta Herekol Theater Festival, the play “Berf jî diêşe (English: Snow hurts too)” was performed by the Hîlala Zêrîn Sarya Baran Theater Group.

Qamishlo- The Yekta Herekol Theater Festival, which kicked off in Qamishlo on March 27, has entered its fifth day today. Yesterday, the play “Berf jî diêşe (English: Snow hurts too)” was performed by the Hîlala Zêrîn Sarya Baran Theater Group.

 The play directed by Sarya Golan tells the resistance in four parts of Kurdistan against the occupation and stories of thousands of Kurds who were subjected to torture in prisons of the occupying states.

‘The play tells the resistance in prison’

In an interview with NuJINHA, Sarya Golan said, “The play tells the resistance of the Kurds in prison. It tells the stories of resisting people, who were tortured to death in prisons. It tells the stories of Nudem Duran, Zeyneb Celaliyan, Şadiye Manap, Garîbe Gezer. We hope we can be their voices and cries. The aim of the play is to make their voices, cries heard in four parts of Kurdistan and the Middle East. We call on all theater actors from all parts of Kurdistan to unite.”
