Ayda El Abdullah has four daughters and a son. Stating that three of her children need special care, she said, “They had a disability when they were born. But their disabilities also helped us understand the special abilities of my children. All of them can stand on their own legs at a young age.” Underlining that she was forced into child marriage 24 years ago, Ayla said, “I spent my childhood by raising my children. I cried, laughed, and played with them. I grew up with them. Since they were born with disabilities, we went to many doctors but we could not find a cure for their disabilities.”

“I am proud of them; they stand on their own legs”

Her 19-year-old daughter Diyanan has a special talent in handicrafts, her 22-year-old son Hisên is a mechanical expert and her daughter Şehed has a special talent in painting.

“My daughter Şehed is my youngest child. I supported my children; I did my best to make them stand on their own legs. I educated myself to support them. Their peers had a normal life while my children didn’t. They couldn’t speak and hear, I tried to be their ears and tongue. I made a lot of effort to understand them, now they stand on their own legs and I am proud of them.”

Stating that Nûr a Pêşarojê Association contributed to the special education of her children, Ayda El Abdullah said, “They encouraged my children.
