Kobanî – The painting exhibition opens its door for art lovers with the motto, “Teqîna Reng” (Explosion of Colors) with the contribution of Baqî Xido Culture and Art Center. 85 paintings of 17 young women painters have been exhibited within the scope of the exhibition. Resmiya Seid is one of these painters. She stated that she tries to express the effect of the war in her paintings.
Resmiya Seid’s six paintings have been exhibited at the exhibition. “There is a great interest and participation, we didn’t expect this,” Resmiya Seid said that they feel sorry for holding the exhibition late due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Each painting tells a story. I tried to paint war in my paintings. I saw a baby lies quietly in its mother's arms, the mother was breastfeeding her baby. The mother's arms are the safest places for everyone but the baby looked at the world with fear. A painter can see this. I cannot say I painted it very well but I tried to paint the baby’s scared looks.”
She is open to criticism and suggestions
Stating that she has liked painting since her childhood and that she has been at the bottom of the ladder, Resmiya Seid said that she wants to become professional in painting. “I listen to criticism and suggestions of people visiting the exhibition. I think their criticism and suggestions will allow me to improve myself.”
