ŞÎNYAR BAYÎZ

Sulaymaniyah- Artist Nazanin Abdullah lives in the city of Sulaymaniyah, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Her different artworks attract the attention of art lovers. She has been interested in art since she was 12. She uses ceramics, stones, flowers and similar materials to produce her artworks and then she exhibits her artworks at her own gallery.

‘I get my ideas and then design the artworks’

Saying that the art world is a wide and deep world, Nazanin Abdullah added, “It requests detailed works. Therefore, when you decide to produce an artwork , you have to work hard and dedicate yourself to it. I get my ideas and then design my artworks. Sometimes, I produce artwork according to the demand of the art lovers.”

‘I cannot find some materials in Kurdistan’

Nazanin Abdullah aims to bring different cultures together through art. “I make great efforts to produce artwork. Sometimes, I face difficulties because I cannot find some materials in Kurdistan. Despite all the difficulties, I do not give up on performing my art.”

Women show more interest

People from every segment of society visit her gallery to see her artworks. “But women show more interest in my artworks. I sometimes use waste materials to make my art. I ask people not to throw away their unused materials.”
