  • 27 women killed in July 

    Violence against women is increasing in Turkey after its withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention. 27 women were killed and the deaths of eight women were recorded as suspicious deaths in July, according to the report of Jinnews reporter Dilan Babat. Four women were killed in the racist attack on a Kurdish family in the Meram district of Konya province while nine women were killed by their husbands.

  • CFWIJ condemns targeting of journalist Berna Kişin 

    Mesopotamia News Agency (MA) reporter Berna Kişin was targeted by a pro-government Memleket Newspaper following her coverage of the assassination of a family in Konya.
