Deir ez-Zor- Zenûbiya Women's Community held its congress on June 1, in Raqqa, NE Syria, with the motto, “We will defend our revolution and build peace with an organized women's struggle.” Since then, the women have held meetings to introduce their organization to women. The members of the organization held a meeting in the Hajin city of the Deir ez-Zor Governorate to give information about the works of Zenûbiya Women's Community.

Xitam Hedo, a member of the Women's Committee affiliated to People’s Assembly in Hajin, told our news agency that they learn how to wage a struggle for their rights thanks to these meetings. “We should educate ourselves so that we overcome all difficulties and obstacles we have faced. If women work hard, they can achieve their freedom and lead their society. For this reason, we expect Zenûbiya Women's Community to carry out important works.”

“Women in the Middle East should have their own identity”
