Women’s Time Association hold meeting on women’s rights, achievements

The Women’s Time Association held a meeting on women’s rights and achievements in Istanbul with the participation of many women.

 News Center- The Women’s Time Association (Turkish: Kadın Zamanı Derneği) held a meeting entitled, “Our rights and achievements” at the Yunus Balta Culture Center, located in the Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul, with the participation of many women.

They discussed solutions

At the meeting, Dilek Başalan, president of the Women’s Time Association, gave information about how to communicate with women victims of violence and challenges faced by them while struggling against gender-based violence. “When women victims of violence apply to us, we must listen to them without prejudice and buts. We must show the ways and methods on how to get out of violence, how to make their own decisions, without judging and commenting,” she said in her speech.

Workshops

Ekin Baltaş, one of the lawyers of the association, made a speech on women's achievements and the importance of women’s achievements.  She gave information about the legal processes that women victims of violence can initiate when they are subjected to violence.

The association will hold workshops in every neighborhood according to the needs of women.
