The Turkish warplanes carried out airstrikes on the Uca, Gozeliyê, Til El-Leben and Til Tewîl villages yesterday. According to local sources, many civilians were injured in the airstrikes. Despite the ongoing Turkish attacks on the region, the people say they will not leave their homeland.

“We will protect our homeland against the attacks to the end,” said the women living in the Hemra neighborhood of Hasakah’s Til Tamir town.

“We will stay here even if they kill all of us”

Cemîla Hatim, a resident of the neighborhood, told us that they would resist all attacks and said, “Why does the occupying Turkish state attack us? We have not attacked them. It aims to depopulate the region by attacking us. Forcing civilians to leave their homeland is a crime against humanity. We will stay here even if they kill all of us. We protect our neighborhood at nights; we all make sacrifices for our homeland. We will resist to the end in order to protect our honor and our homeland.”

“All we want is to live in our homeland”

Ebta Nasir is a displaced woman living in the village of Hemra. “The Turkish state and Turkey-backed factions forced me to leave my home in the village of Erîşa. We have been living in Hemra for four years. We pray every day so that the occupying Turkish state may leave our homeland. We want to return to our village, our homes. The Turkish forces and its armed factions plundered our homes and stole everything. All we want is to live in our homeland,” she told us.
