Manbij- “We demand the end of the ongoing Turkish attacks on our region so that we want to live in peace,” said the women living in the eastern countryside of the city of Al Bab, liberated by the Al Bab Military Council.

The Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions have intensified their attacks on the countryside of the city of Al Bab, which was liberated by the Al Bab Military Council. The attacks have destroyed many houses and killed many civilians.

‘We are tired of the war’

Naima Al-Ali has had paralysis since she learnt that her children were killed by ISIS. Speaking about the military operation launched by the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions on the border, she said, “Our situation is very tragic. I cannot go out when they fire artillery. We are tired of the war; we want to live in peace. We cannot bear losing our children anymore. When ISIS took control of the city, they killed two of my children. When I heard my children were killed, I became paralyzed due to grief. I cannot walk anymore.”

‘We do not want to leave our land’

Emine Al Casim lives in the town of Al Arima in the eastern countryside of the occupied Al Bab city. She also wants the end of the Turkish attacks. “We have been facing difficult living conditions since the military operation was launched. Our children are scared of bomb sounds. We do not want to leave our land. We want to have a peaceful life in our homeland.”
