Vice president of Future Party Women's Branch killed in Istanbul
Emine Ercandoğdu, the vice president of the Future Party (Turkish: Gelecek Partisi) Istanbul Women’s Branch, was killed in Istanbul by Tuncay Gülenç, a retired police officer.
Istanbul- Tuncay Gülenç, a retired police officer, shot to kill Emine Ercandoğdu, the vice president of the Future Party (Turkish: Gelecek Partisi) Istanbul Provincial Women’s Branch. The perpetrator then shot himself by using the same gun.
Perihan Toğay, the president of the Future Party Women’s Branch in Istanbul, wrote on her social media about the killing of Emine Ercandoğdu. Her social media post said, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of my Provincial Vice President, colleague, and dear friend Emine Ercandoğdu… Words are insufficient… We will never forget you. I express my deepest condolences to her family, particularly her children, and the community of the Future Party.”
