News Center- The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has released a written statement regarding the three days of the Israel-Hamas conflict that broke out on October 7.

 “More than 17, 500 families, comprising over 123, 538 people, have been internally displaced in Gaza, mostly due to fear, protection concerns and the destruction of their homes,” the statement said.

Israel warned people living in certain areas to leave before launching its retaliatory air strikes on October 7.

Adnan Abu Hasna,, a spokesperson for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), said he expected the number of displaced people to further increase.
