News Center- Jinnews, an all-women news agency based in Amed (Diyarbakır), has released its December 2024 report on femicide in Türkiye by compiling news from local and national newspapers, news websites and news agencies.

19 women were killed and 19 women and two children died under suspicious circumstances in December 2024, the report said.

According to the report, seven women were killed by their husbands, two by their ex-husbands, three by their estranged husbands, two by their ex-partners, one by her estranged partner, one by an unknown person, one by a man she knew, one by her male relative and one by her son.

The report also gave information about the cities, where women were killed. According to the report, one woman was killed in Samsun, one in Kocaeli, three in Bursa, two in Kırklareli, one in Izmir, two in Mersin, one in Adana, one in Osmaniye, one in Sivas, one in Manisa, one in Giresun, one in Uşak, one in Istanbul, one in Sakarya and one in Kayseri.
