“Turkey aims to destroy the gains of the people”
The Cizre Region Internal Affairs Committee has issued a statement calling on the UN and the UN Security Council to close the region’s airspace to Turkey.
News Center- The Cizre Region Internal Affairs Committee issued a press statement at the committee building in Qamishlo regarding the latest Turkish attacks in North and East Syria. The statement written in both Kurdish and Arabic was read by Kenan Berekat and Hemrîn Elî, the Co-chair of the committee.
“Turkey aims to destroy the gains”
Underlining that the aim of the Turkish attacks in North and East Syria is to destroy the security and peace in the region, the statement said, “It (Turkish state) aims to depopulate the region by creating fear and anxiety among the people and targeting internal peace. The fascist Turkish regime aims to destroy the gains achieved with the blood of martyrs with its hostile attacks. This situation encourages armed factions supported by Turkey such as Al-Nusra, ISIS and other dark forces to try to destroy the will of the Syrian Democratic Forces. The guarantor powers in North and East Syria know this very well. But until now, a responsible attitude has not been exhibited against the rights violations and crimes of the occupying Turkish state, which has revived ISIS cells by breaking the struggle against terrorism. The occupying Turkish state has severely increased its violations in the region.”
Call on the public against the special warfare methods
The statement recalled that four people lost their lives and many others were injured in yesterday's attack on the Hîzamê road, north of Qamishlo.
“In addition, Şemdîn Şemdîn, Mezlûm Esad, Ehmed Şebî and Aheng Şebî were martyred as a result of the shelling of the drones in the Sina neighborhood of Qamishlo. Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) member Yusif Mehmud Rebanî was seriously injured in the shelling and transferred to a hospital; however, he died at the hospital. As the Cizre Region Internal Affairs Committee, we condemn these inhuman actions. We call on the people to take action with the spirit of resistance and revolutionary people, to stand by their defense forces and Autonomous Administration and to be aware of all special warfare methods used by the enemy to break the will of our people.”
“Close the region’s airspace”
“The guarantor states of the ceasefire, Russia and the International Coalition against terrorism, are responsible for this war,” the statement said, “We know that the occupying Turkish state has committed crimes against our people for its own interests. For this reason, we call on the international organizations and human rights organizations such as the UN and the UN Security Council to close the region’s airspace to Turkey as part of their responsibility towards our people and forces, who fought ISIS for the world.”
