Turkey: 364 textile workers lost their lives in 10 years
At least 364 textile workers have lost their lives at workplaces since 2013, according to the report released by the Laborer Health and Occupational Safety Assembly (İSİG).
News Center- The Laborer Health and Occupational Safety Assembly (İSİG) has released its report giving information about how many textile workers have lost their lives at workplaces in Turkey since 2013.
At least 364 textile workers, including 81 women and 16 children, have lost their lives at workplaces across Turkey since 2013, according to the report.
Most textile workers lost their lives in Istanbul. 47 textile workers lost their lives in Antep, 43 in Tekirdağ, 24 in Bursa, 20 in Denizli and 11 in Urfa.
As the cause of deaths, 86 of them lost their lives because of traffic/shuttle accidents; 55 of them as result of explosion/burning; 48 of them because of smashing/wreckage; 38 of them because of falling from high; 31 of them due to Covid-19.
