Third day of Israel-Palestine conflict: Over 1,100 dead

The conflict between Israel and Palestine enters its third day. More than 1,100 people have been killed in the conflict, according to the Israeli and Palestinian officials.

News Center- The conflict that started when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 and Israel responded, enters its third day. Israel announced that at least 700 Israelis were killed and nearly 2,400 wounded.

Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 413 Palestinian, including 78 children, were killed and more than 2,300 Palestinians were wounded.

More than 250 people killed when Hamas attacked the festival

According to the Israeli rescue service Zaka, paramedics have removed about 260 bodies from the Supernova music festival in the desert area early Saturday. Hamas also took hostage many people attending the Supernova Festival that had been taking place near Kibbutz Re'im, Israel's Negev Desert.

On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Israelis to brace for a ‘long and difficult war’ against Hamas. Israel's security cabinet on Sunday officially declared a state of war following Saturday's attacks by Hamas militants.

At least 130 Israelis held hostage in Gaza

Mousa Abu Marzouk, a senior Hamas official, said on Sunday that at least 100 people, including senior Israeli soldiers, were held hostage in Gaza. The Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad, Ziad al-Nahala said on Sunday that his faction was holding more than 30 Israelis captive in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army announced that fighter jets, helicopters and artillery struck over 500 Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets in the Gaza Strip overnight.

‘The US stands with Israel’

US President Joe Biden had a phone call with Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu on Saturday morning. Joe Biden conveyed that additional assistance for the Israeli Defense Forces is now on its way to Israel with more to follow over the coming days. He expressed deep sympathy for all those missing, wounded, and killed, and pledged his full support for the Government and people of Israel in the face of an unprecedented and appalling assault by Hamas terrorists.

Israel urges nationals to leave Egypt immediately

On Sunday, Israel urged its nationals in Egypt to leave the country "forthwith," hours after a shooting in the Egyptian city of Alexandria that killed two Israeli tourists.
