TAJÊ: Iraqi people should unite against Turkish attacks

“More actions should be organized and the Iraqi people should unite against the Turkish attacks,” said the statement issued by the Yazidi Free Women's Movement (TAJÊ).

News Center- The Yazidi Free Women's Movement (TAJÊ) has issued a statement condemning the Turkish attack in Zakho that killed nine civilians.

Calling for the more actions against the presence of the Turkish army in Iraq, TAJÊ also stated in its statement that the KDP tries to legitimize these attacks.

“It tries to legitimize the attacks”

“We condemn the inhuman attack of the Turkish state. As it is well known, this attack is not the first attack carried out by the occupying Turkish state on Iraqi territory. The attacks against the Iraqi citizens have been carried out for years and they have been intensifying in recent years. The reason why they have been intensifying is the silence of the Iraqi and Kurdistan Regional governments against these attacks. In particular, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) tries to legitimize the attacks on the civilians and the territory of Iraq by betraying its own people. Thus, it proves its cooperation with the Turkish state.

Call for more actions

Calling for more actions against the presence of the Turkish army in Iraq, the statement said, “The Iraqi government has not taken the necessary steps against the attacks so far. They also issue statements. Only a popular uprising can get the Turkish soldiers out of Iraq. More actions, protests and demonstrations should be organized and the Iraqi people should unite against the Turkish attacks.”
