Mersin- 12-year-old Khaled Hayanked, the son of Halit Hayanked, a Syrian having a jewelry store in the Yenişehir district of Mersin, went missing yesterday while playing in the yard of the building complex.

After a while, a person called the family, saying that he abducted the child and that he would release their son if they paid him a ransom. The person threatened the family to kill their son if they reported the incident to police.

 Thereupon, Halit Hayanked, the father of Khaled Hayanked, reported the abduction to police. After the investigation was launched in the building complex, the police found out that the child was still somewhere in the building complex. The dead body of the child was found in a basement of a building. After the autopsy, the child was buried.

 Hasan Cingöz was detained

Police also found out that Hasan Cingöz, the doorman of the building complex, was the only person who had the door key of the basement. As part of the investigation launched into the incident, Hasan Cingöz was detained. According to the received reports, Hasan Cingöz confessed to murdering the child in the police interrogation.
