Susan Hassanzadeh transferred to Urmia prison to serve her prison sentence

Susan Hassanzadeh, a Kurdish civil activist and Kurdish language teacher from Bukan, has been arrested and transferred to Urmia prison to serve her three-month prison sentence.

News Center- Susan Hassanzadeh, a Kurdish civil activist and Kurdish language teacher from Bukan, was arrested and transferred to Urmia prison on Tuesday to serve her three-month prison sentence after being summoned to the 11th Police Station in Bukan.

On May 15, 2024, Susan Hassanzadeh was arrested and taken to an unknown location by Iranian security forces at her home in Bukan. After a while, she had a short phone call with her family, informing that she was held in a detention center in Urmia. She was released on bail after being held in detention about a month

In October 2024, she was sentenced to three months in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime”.
