Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 731st day
The sit-in protest staged by the Şenyaşar family seeking justice for their killed relatives has entered its 731st day.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 731st day today.
In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar began to hold their sit-in protest for justice in front of the courthouse by unfurling their banner reading, “Justice for the Şenyaşar family”.

“Today is the first day of Ramadan. On the 731st day of our sit-in protest, our struggle for truth and justice continues with determination. We wish the month of Ramadan to bring justice and peace to our country,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account.
