Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 676th day
Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has been seeking justice for their murdered relatives for 676 days.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 676th day. In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse to hold their protest by unfurling a banner reading, “Justice”.
Call on AKP MPs
Speaking at the protest, Ferit Şenyaşar reminded that the first hearing of the trial of the massacre that took place at the Suruç State Hospital against their family members will be held in Malatya on January 17. “We expect all political parties that have justice in their party's bylaws, to be in Malatya with their representatives. The MPs of the ruling party should come. They should come to see what kind of massacre was committed by their party’s MP,” Ferit Şenyaşar said.

The Şenyaşar family has posted tweets for 676 days to seek justice. Today, the family posted a tweet reading,“The demand of the mother (Emine Şenyaşar) is justice. Is it hard to secure justice? Why do they wait? Those who cause this injustice cannot go out in public in #Urfa.”
