Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 568th day
On the 568th day of their sit-in protest, the Şenyaşar family demanded justice again and called on the authorities to hear their voices.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar continues on its 568th day.
Today, Emine Şenyaşar has stayed at her home in Suruç due to her health problems. Her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse in the morning to demand justice.
“The mother (Emine Şenyaşar) has held her protest at her home in Suruç due to her health problems. The mat she has sat down and her demand for justice are here. There is the courthouse next to them and there are prosecutors who make decisions according to the person and status,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account by tagging the official accounts of Turkey’s Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ and Urfa Governor Salih Ayhan.
