Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 401st day
Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have demanded justice for their killed relatives for 401 days.
Riha - The sit-in protest, also known as “Justice Watch”, started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in the Suruç district of Urfa province by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has entered its 401st day.
Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse from Suruç in the morning to keep holding their sit-in protest.
“Are those who cause a 65-year-old mother to shed tears in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 400 days Muslims? Do they fast during Ramadan? Do they have a mother? Do they have a conscience? Do they have a conscience? Do they tell their children about the cruelty they have caused?” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account by tagging the accounts of President Tayyip Erdoğan and Urfa Governor Abdullah Erin.
Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have set a “Justice Table” in front of the courthouse to break their fast since the beginning of Ramadan. Yesterday, the members of the Urfa Labor and Democracy Platform and Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Istanbul MP Hüda Kaya were the guests of the Şenyaşar family.
