Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family continues on its 728th day

“Those who do not talk about justice will lose in the 2023 elections,” the Şenyaşar family said today, on the 728th day of their sit-in protest for justice.

Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar continues on its 728th day.

Today, Emine Şenyaşar stays at her home in Suruç due to her health problems while her son Ferit Şenyaşar demands justice in front of the courthouse by unfurling a banner reading, “Justice for the Şenyaşar Family”.

“We are in pursuit of justice. Those who do not talk about justice will lose in the 2023 elections,” said today’s social media post of the Şenyaşar family.
