Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family continues for 603 days

The Şenyaşar family has held a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 603 days.

Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 613th day.

Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse in the morning to demand justice for their killed relatives again. Making a speech in front of the courthouse, Ferit Şenyaşar said, “Those who killed our relatives killed two persons from another family. As long as this persecution  continues, new massacres will be committed. See this mother now. Those who committed these massacres are known. Everyone knows who supports the killers. Now, the king is naked.”

“They look but not see”

The important officers of the state enter the courthouse by black and luxurious cars. All the authorities look at this mother; however, they do not see her. Some eyes are blind; some hearts become like stones,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account by tagging the official accounts of Turkey's Ministry of Justice, Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ and Urfa governor Salih Ayhan.
