Sit-in protest for justice enters its 837th day
Emine Şenyaşar has been seeking justice in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 837 days.
Riha (Urfa) - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of former AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in Pirsûs (Turkish: Suruç) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 837th day.

Today, Emine Şenyaşar has been seeking justice at her home Pîrsus due to her health problems. Today, the Şenyaşar family posted a tweet by tagging the official social media account of Turkish Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç. The tweet said:
“Five years have passed. Although the immunity of the person who organized the massacre at the hospital and prevented the law enforcement from doing their duty has ended, he has not been arrested yet! Fadıl Şenyaşar, whose father and two brothers were murdered, has been kept in a solitary cell for five years by the orders of superiors! You call this justice?”
