Sit-in protest for justice enters its 591st day
The Şenyaşar family continues to seek justice on the 591st day of their sit-in protest
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 591st day.
In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse and tried to hang a banner reading, “Justice for the Şenyaşar family, justice for everyone,” on the concrete barriers; however, they saw a carriage tied to the place where they hung the banner. So Emine Şenyaşar began to hold their sit-in protest in front of the courthouse.
“There is a crime against humanity”
“Our sit-in protest continues in front of the Urfa Courthouse on the 591st day. There is a crime against humanity, those who committed this crime hide behind the ruling party! Many MPs feel uncomfortable due to this situation. As long as this persecution continues, many people will resign…” the Şenyaşar family posted today by tagging the official social media accounts of the Turkish Ministry of Justice.
