Sit-in protest for justice enters its 357th day
Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, have a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for their killed relatives, are holding their protest in front of the Antep Regional Court of Justice today.
Riha- The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in Suruç by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has entered its 357th day. Today, the family is holding their sit-in protest in front of the Antep Regional Court of Justice.
Today, a delegation consisting of Antep representative of the Lawyers Association for Freedom (ÖHD) visited the Şenyaşar family. The family met the delegation by carrying a banner reading “They massacred my two sons and husband! Not a single person has been arrested. My son has been in solitary confinement for four years upon the instructions of superiors. I request immediate release for my son! Justice for the Şenyaşar family, justice for everyone!”
The Şenyaşar family requested a meeting with judges; however, their request was rejected.

“I am Emine Şenyaşar. I am in front of the Antep Regional Court of Justice to demand the release of my son, who has been held in solitary confinement for four years upon the instructions of superiors. We have held our sit-in protest demanding justice for about a year, has anyone heard our voice?” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account today.
