Sit-in protest for justice continues on its 606th day
“The demand of the Şenyaşar family is the demand of all human beings,” the Şenyaşar family said on the 606th day of their sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar continues on its 606th day. In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse to demand justice for their killed family members.
“Why do all AKP MPs bow their heads when the photo of the mother (Emine Şenyaşar) is shown at the parliament? Those who say that the persecutor is one of us cannot go out in public. The demand of the Şenyaşar family is the demand of all human beings,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account by sharing a photo showing Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu holds a photo of Emine Şenyaşar at the parliament.
