Sima Alipour, a human rights activist, was arrested on Monday after she was summoned to the Intelligence Department in Tabriz.

News Center- Sima Alipour, an Azerbaijani human rights activist, was arrested on Monday after she was summoned to the Intelligence Department in Tabriz.

According to the local reports, Sima Alipour went to the Intelligence Department in Tabriz on Monday after being summoned. Hours later, she informed her family that she had been arrested.

The activist was previously arrested in Tabriz during the protests that sparked in Iran following the killing of Mahsa Jina Amini in 2022 and then released on bail. She was also arrested in 2010 and 2012 for participating in protests against the government's policy of drying up Lake Urmia and then released on bail.
