SES Co-chair Selma Atabey released from prison
The 9th hearing of the trial against eight members of the Health and Social Services Workers' Trade Union (SES), including SES Co-chair Selma Atabey was held today. Selma Atabey has been released from prison.
News Center- The 9th hearing of the trial against eight members of the Health and Social Services Workers' Trade Union (SES), including SES Co-chair Selma Atabey was held today by the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court. Selma Atabey, who has been imprisoned pending trial, and Erdal Turan, Ramazan Baş, Fikret Çalağan and Bedriye Yorgun, who have been released pending trial, attended the hearing. Gönül Erdem, who has been under house arrest in Dersim (Turkish: Tunceli) attended the hearing through Audio-Visual Information System (SEGBİS).
Selma Atabey released under judicial control
In addition to lawyers, many union executives and members attended the hearing. At the hearing, Selma Atabey denied all accusations against her and demanded her release. The court has ruled the release of Selma Atabey under judicial control. The next hearing will be held on October 2, 2023.
